14 May 2017 – Sunday
This was our last day in Melbourne. As per the company’s itinerary, it was a free day for us before the late afternoon flight back to Singapore. But as for me and some of my colleagues, it was also a day to explore the east side of Melbourne by ourselves. We took the usual early morning breakfast before heading out.
We decided to go to Brighton Beach to check out the famous bathing boxes along the beach. Instagram-worthy daw. 🙂 We took the tram then boarded a bus to St. Kilda and another 15mins walk to the beach.
After almost an hour of travel, finally…. B-E-A-C-H!!!
Luckily, it was uncrowded at the time so we had the chance to take pictures without photobomber 😀
We only spent half an hour to stroll around and we immediately went back to the city to explore the Shrine of Remembrance.
It is the biggest war memorial war memorial in Australia which was built to honor all the Australians who served in World War 1.
We went for our last stop, Queen Victoria Market to buy last minute souvenirs and to try their local street food (which was still expensive btw 😦 ) before heading back to the hotel to catch our flight back to Singapore.
So there you have it, these were the happenings on our last day in Melbourne. Thank you for reading!
